Kathy Tough (BPE '94) was a key member of the Dinos' 1989 CIS women's volleyball championship team and went on to have an illustrious career at the international level. A second team All-Canadian in the 1988-89 season, Tough was named MVP of the tournament as the Dinos captured their second national title. She went on to represent Canada at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, where she captained the national team at its most recent Olympic appearance. Following her indoor career, Tough moved to the beach where she was a national champion and scored a pair of top-10 finishes on the International World Series. She retired in 2001 but remains involved as a coach and administrator in the sport.
