University of Calgary Athletics

Since 1990, U SPORTS has recognized as Academic All-Canadians those student-athletes who have achieved an academic average of 80% or better while representing their university on a varsity sports team.

From that group, eight are selected to receive the Top 8 Academic All-Canadian award - one male and one female student-athlete from each of the four conferences.

Since 1990, the Dinos have placed 3,569 student-athletes on the Academic All-Canadian teams. The total for 2024-25 is 204.

Beginning in 2020, varsity student-athletes in sports not sanctioned by U SPORTS (currently golf) who meet the Academic All-Canadian criteria are honoured as 'Dinos All-Academic.' In 2024-25, a total of 10 golfers earned this status.
