Fourth-year goaltender Katie Urness is the Dinos-Den Female Athlete of the Week for Feb. 1, 2009. Urness had another spectacular weekend between the pipes for the lady Dinos (15-3), who continue to close in on first place in the ACAC standings after clinching a first-round bye in the playoffs. She added another shutout to bring her conference-record total up to six, improving her won-loss record to 12-1 in the process. She gave up just one goal on the weekend as the Dinos swept Mount Royal 2-1 and 6-0, and her goals-against average is an anemic 1.14, while her save percentage is .930. As a team the Dinos have allowed just 22 goals in 18 games, best in the ACAC by 100 per cent (second place is SAIT with 44 goals against).

Urness and the Dinos play a home-and-home series with MacEwan this weekend, beginning Friday night at the Olympic Oval.
