Dinos look to move above .500

| By:
CALGARY - Fresh off a pair of 2-0 road victories over the University of Alberta Pandas, the field hockey Dinos return home to prepare for a weekend set with the conference-leading University of Victoria Vikes this weekend.

The Dinos collected their first four points of the season in Edmonton after a disappointing start to the year versus UBC. Kaitlyn Longworth scored in both contests, and goaltender Stephanie Petrowitsch posted consecutive shutouts as the Dinos improved their overall record to 2-2. They currently sit third in the standings, one point behind the Thunderbirds for the final Canada West berth in the CIS Championship.

Victoria will arrive in Calgary full of confidence after defeating provincial rival UBC 3-2 on Sunday. Perri Espeseth scored twice as the Vikes downed the defending national champions for the first time in nearly two years. The win followed a 1-1 draw between the teams the previous day.

The Dinos and Vikes will meet Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Hawkings Field.
