CALGARY – Matthew Brown of the University of Calgary Dinos men's volleyball team was named Best Setter at the 2026 Men's U21 Pan American Cup after a standout performance representing Team Canada in Guatemala City last week.

Graham Vigrass as Canada went 4-1 through the tournament, ultimately falling to the United States in the final to claim the program's fourth silver medal in tournament history.
The Best Setter nod capped a breakout stretch for Brown, who arrived at the Pan American Cup off a strong freshman season with the Scarlet and Gold. The Sunnyside, Man. native earned selections to both the U SPORTS All-Rookie team and the Canada West All-Rookie team before earning his call-up to the world stage.
Organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA), the Men's U21 Pan American Cup is a biannual continental tournament featuring U21 national teams from North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean. The event also serves as a qualifier for the U21 World Championship.
