Dinos 2026/27 Tryout Announcement!
After winning their bronze medal at nationals the Dinos are excited to kickstart the 2026/27 season!
Are you interested in playing University ringette? 
We are thrilled to welcome newcomers to join the Dinos community and continue to build upon last season's success.

Throughout the regular season the Dinos play in the Calgary Ringette Open A/Tier 1 division (CORL) while also competing against other University teams in preparation for the University Challenge Cup hosted this year in Guelph December 27th-31st!

Please click the Intent to Tryout link to register and attend tryouts this September. All participants will be required to complete a waiver prior to participating in tryouts.

Thursday September 3rd 2026 Location: Olympic Oval     Warm-up Skate Time: 6:00-7:00pm
Wednesday September 9th 2026 Location: Olympic Oval     Time: 8:00-9:15pm
Friday September 11th 2026 Location: Olympic Oval     Time: 8:00-9:15pm

Here are some FAQ's about Dinos Ringette:
Q1: Is the first skate a tryout?     No, the first skate is to get back into the swing of things.
Q2: Is Dinos Ringette a varsity team?     The Dinos are a club team administered through Dinos Athletics.
Q3: What teams do we play during the regular season?     We play against all teams in the Open A/Tier 1 division of the Calgary Open Ringette League (CORL). We will also have games against other university teams throughout the season and during tournaments. There are typically additional exhibition games against local U19AA teams as well.
Q4: What is the commitment to the team like?     A typical week for Dinos Ringette involves 1-2 on ice practices (1 being in the morning before classes, 1 in the evening), a game, and an off ice training session.
Q5: Can I join despite not being in my first year of university?     Yes players need to be full time students at University of Calgary, does not matter which year of study you are in.
