CALGARY – Have you ever considered playing university ringette? Well now is your chance! Tryouts for the 2024-25 University of Calgary Dinos ringette team have officially been scheduled.
The Dinos are proud to celebrate the 15th year of Dinos ringette. The team spends the year competing within the Open A Division during the regular season, while also playing against other university teams in preparation for the biggest tournament of the season, the University Challenge Cup! UCC's are hosted in Lethbridge this year December 27th-31st and the week-long tournament involves university teams from across the country.

Here are some FAQ's about Dinos Ringette:
Q1: Is the first skate a tryout? No, the first skate is to get back into the swing of things and will not count towards evaluations.
Q2: Are the Dinos a varsity team? The Dinos are a club team of the UofC!
Q3: What teams do we play during the regular season? We play against all teams in the Open A division of the Calgary Open Ringette Association (CORA). We will also have games against other university teams throughout the season and during tournaments. There are typically additional exhibition games against local U19AA teams as well.
Q4: What is the commitment to the team like? A typical week for Dinos Ringette involves 1-2 on ice practices (1 being in the morning before classes, 1 in the evening), a game, and an off ice training session.
Q5: Can I join despite not being in my first year of university? Yes! We accept any full time student in any year of study within their programs.
