CALGARY – A pair of University of Calgary alumni have been announced to represent Team Canada on the international stage at the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup in England.
Former Dinos and current professional teammates with the Exeter Chiefs, DaLeaka Menin and Emily Tuttosi have been named to the 32-member team sporting the red and white for the quadrennial tournament. This event is set to run from August 22 to September 27, where Team Canada is set to play in Pool B contesting with Scotland, Wales, and Fiji.
Menin, Tuttosi and Team Canada will enter the competition looking for redemption after falling to France in the bronze medal match during the 2021 World Cup (which was played in 2022) in Auckland, New Zealand.
Canada looks to play their first match against Fiji at the York Community Stadium on Saturday, August 23 at 10:30 a.m. MT / 5:30 p.m. local time.
