SHERBROOKE, Que. – The University of Calgary Dinos cross country teams closed out the 2025 season with a strong showing at the U SPORTS Championships Saturday afternoon at the University of Sherbrooke.
Chloe Turner turned in one of the best performances by a Dino at national in recent memory, crossing the line on the 8,000km course in 29:23 for 23rd overall. That finish was the highest placement for a Calgary women's runner since Melissa Jones earned All-Canadian honours in 2018.
Jenna Conrad was next up for the Dinos. The Canada West Rookie of the Year had another strong performance, climbing late in the race and finishing 48th overall in 30:05 – just missing at spot on the national all-rookie squad.

Sophie Jensen once again ran well, placing third for the Dinos and 61st overall in 30:19.
Amaia Ervin-Arambarri (30:41) and
Csenia Irvin (31.49) rounded out the scoring for the Dinos on the day, as they finished 11th overall out of 22 teams.
On the men's side,
Ethan Meyer turned in an impressive performance – clocking in at 25:37 for 33rd overall.
Braden Foley placed 66th on the day in 26:12, while
Max Cook closed out the afternoon for the Scarlet & Gold at 26:25 for 83rd.
The Dinos will now turn their attention to the track & field calendar, opening the 2025-26 season at home with the annual Dino Opener Dec. 7 inside the Jack Simpson Gym.
