Dinos win pool play to advance to nationals semi-final.

The University of Calgary Dinos fastball team will again be playing for a medal at the 2025 CCSA national championships. The Dinos finished 2st in their pool to advance to the CCSA semi-tinal round on Saturday at noon, where they will play the winner of the 9am elimination game between Durham College and Humber College.

The Dinos faced Durham College in their first pool game on Friday. Durham as the reigning 2024 national champions would be a tough test for the University of Calgary, but the Dinos were able to come out on top of a close 2 - 0 victory.
Second game found the Dinos again defeating an Ontario team as the Dinos took down the Wilfred Laurier University by a score of 9 - 4.
Final pool game saw the Dinos taking on a familiar foe in the University of Saskatchewan. Game ended in a 3 - 3 tie resulting in the Dinos finishing atop the Pool A standings and gaining a direct path to the semi-finals.

UBCO Heat finished atop the Pool B standings and will host the second semi-final where they will face the winner of University of Saskatchewan and University of Toronto.

Elimination games at 9am
Semi-finals at Noon and Gold and Bronze medal games at 3pm - All games at Shouldice Athletic Park.

If Dinos and UBCO are successful winning their semi-finals games the national championship gold medal game will be a repeat matchup of the WCSA league championship final.
