OSHAWA, Ont. – The awards continue to pour in for
Owen Antoniuk.
The third-year midfield for the Calgary Dinos men's soccer team was named a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian Wednesday night at the annual banquet held leading into the national tournament.
Antoniuk, who was already named a Canada West First Team All-Star earlier this year, finished his first full season as a Dino in breakout fashion. He tied for the conference lead with eight goals despite playing in only 11 games. The third-year midfielder also dished out five assists for the high-powered Calgary attack this season and his 13 total points rank second in the conference this year.
Under first-year head coach
Ramon Mifflin, Antoniuk thrived – helping the Dinos to an impressive 7-2-5 record one year after going 4-7-3.
This marks the fifth All-Canadian honour for the Dinos program in the past five seasons and the 18th all time.
