CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos (0-3) will look to pick up their first win of 2022 season when they head east to take on the Manitoba Bisons (1-2).
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. MT on Saturday afternoon from IG Field where the Dinos will look to pull even with the Bisons in the tight Canada West standings.
Manitoba will be riding high after picking up their first win of the season against the UBC Thunderbirds, while the Dinos will be looking to bounce back from a home loss to the Alberta Golden Bears.

- Calgary faced off against Manitoba just once in the shortened 2021 season, a 28-20 loss on the road. Previous to that loss, Calgary had won 9 of the last 10 against the Bisons.

- Quarterback Daniel Sananes was able to get the Dinos' offence rolling in the second half last week, finishing with an impressive 298 yards on 20 completions, including two touchdowns.
- Sananes found a groove with receiver Zack Smith who hauled in eight passes for 111 yards, including one of the two scores.
- Jacob Biggs continues to be a steadying presence for the Dinos' defence as he finished the game against the Bears with six total tackles to go with one pass breakup. Biggs currently sits fifth in Canada West, averaging just under six tackles per game.
- Calgary can be confident they are going to have an advantage in the field position battle as punter Chris MacLean leads the league in punt average at 46.5 yards per punt.
- The Dinos will return home next weekend for a meeting with the Thunderbirds.

- Manitoba won a defensive battle against the Thunderbirds in a rain-soaked affair, as the Bisons put up just 155 yards of offence in the 21-16 win.
- The Bisons' defence was able keep the Thunderbirds completely out of the endzone last weekend, holding UBC to just four field goals on five red zone trips.
- Fifth-year quarterback Des Catellier, who played his high school football in Calgary, was efficient behind centre against the Thunderbirds, completing 14-of-20 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
- Calgary's offence will have to keep an eye on linebacker Isaac Dokken, who has been consistently all over the field for the Bisons. The second-year defender has been a tackling machine for Manitoba and currently sits second in Canada West with an average of 6.8 tackles per game, including 10 total tackles against UBC.
