CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos will open their 62nd season of Canada West football the first weekend of September, the conference announced Wednesday.
The Dinos will open things up at home, hosting the annual KICKOFF event Friday, Sept. 4 as they welcome UBC to McMahon Stadium to wrap up the first week of classes.
Calgary then hits the road for the next two, travelling to Saskatchewan (Sept. 11) and Manitoba (Sept. 18) before returning to campus to close out the opening month against Alberta (Sept. 25).
Week 5 sees Regina come to McMahon Stadium for a matinee Oct. 3 leading into the bye week.
The Dinos will close out the regular season with two of its final three on the road, visiting UBC (Oct. 16) and Alberta (Oct. 31), with the final home game of the regular season sandwiched between when Manitoba comes to campus Oct. 24.
The nine-week regular season sees all teams play each other at least once, with three repeat matches and one bye week.
When the regular season concludes, the top four teams will earn spots in the Canada West semifinals Nov. 7, with the 89th running of the Hardy Cup set for Nov. 14.
The 2026 CW champion will then travel east, taking on the RSEQ winner in the USPORTS Uteck Bowl Nov. 21, with the 61st Vanier Cup once again hosted by Laval on Nov. 28 in Quebec City.
