CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos women's hockey team will take on the Mount Royal University Cougars for their first Crowchild Classic matchup of the season this weekend.
The first puck drop will be Friday at 7 p.m., at Father David Bauer Arena, with the rematch taking place Saturday at 6 p.m., at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex at Tsuut'ina Nation.
HOME OPENER SWEEP
The Dinos will look to continue their early success during this four-game homestand, sweeping the opening two games against the MacEwan Griffins last weekend, defeating them 3-1 in both games.
MACLEOD OPENS ON A WINNING NOTE
Carla MacLeod earned her first two wins as the Dinos head coach last weekend after the native Calgarian and Olympic medallist joined the Dinos staff back in August.
LEADING SCORER…AGAIN
After finishing her sophomore season as the Dinos leading scorer in 2019-20,
Elizabeth Lang is once again off to a strong start. Through the first four games, the Edmonton native is tied for the team lead with a pair of goals, while also registering a team-high three assists.

The Dinos will travel north after this weekend and take on 2019-20 Canada West Champions Alberta Pandas, followed by an early rematch with the MacEwan Griffins. Games will be on Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Clare Drake Arena, and Saturday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. at the Downtown Community Arena in Edmonton.
