CALGARY – After successfully remaining undefeated last week against the Saskatchewan Huskies, the Dinos look to keep their impressive season rolling in Vancouver against the UBC Thunderbirds in the teams' only meeting of the regular season.
The game is set for kickoff at 6:30 p.m. local (7:30 p.m. MT) at Thunderbird Stadium. Streaming coverage for the game will be on CanadaWest.tv.
GAME NOTES (.pdf)
The Dinos head to Vancouver coming off last Saturday's 51-28 win over Saskatchewan, coming alive in the fourth quarter to score 21 unanswered points. For their efforts, they moved up to No. 2 in this week's U SPORTS Top 10.
The last time that the Dinos played the Thunderbirds was last year's Hardy Cup at McMahon Stadium where the Dinos were successful in advancing to the U SPORTS Mitchell Bowl, beating UBC 46-43. The season series between these two CW juggernauts was definitely one to keep an eye on. Although the Dinos were able to sweep the season series earning all three possible wins; two of the three games were decided by a touchdown or less – the most notable of these being the 41-35 overtime victory in the regular season finale at Thunderbird Stadium.
Friday night is the final game before the Thanksgiving bye for both teams, with Canada West returning to action the week of Oct. 14.
