SASKATOON – The University of Calgary Dinos wrapped up the Canada West track and field championships with eight more medals on Day 2, led by
Jenna Westaway's second gold medal of the meet.
Westaway added the 600-metre title to her 1000-metre gold medal from Friday, clocking a time of 1:30.80 to finish atop the podium. To Westaway's gold, Calgary added a four silver and three bronze medals on Saturday, bringing the two-day total to 15 (nine women's, six men's) on the meet. The haul started in the men's triple jump where Sodienye Nkwonta jumped 14.45 m to grab the silver medal. Right behind him, Cole Lethebe jumped 14.12 m to win bronze.
Ben Boelhouwer capped off the podium finishes for the Dinos men, winning bronze in the first-ever heptathlon with 3959 points.
