CALGARY – Sienna MacDonald is returning to the world stage.
The fifth-year University of Calgary Dinos track and field star has been named to Canada's roster for the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships, set for March 20–22 in Kujawy, Poland.
It will be MacDonald's second appearance with the senior national team. She also competed at last year's World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China.
MacDonald closed her university career last weekend at the 2026 U SPORTS Track and Field Championships in Winnipeg. She won three medals, including gold in the women's long jump.
MacDonald also set a national record in the long jump during the meet. She added program records in the women's 60-metre hurdles and as part of the Dinos' women's 4x200-metre relay team.
She was named U SPORTS Women's Athlete of the Meet for the second consecutive year.
The 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships will be broadcast live on CBC Sports and CBC Gem.
