CALGARY - The University of Calgary Dinos will vie for their first victory of the season this weekend when they travel to Edmonton for a pair of games against the University of Alberta Pandas.
Although the Dinos dropped both contests with UBC this past weekend, they will look to sustain momentum gained from the second half of Sunday's game in which they dominated possession and generated numerous quality scoring chances.
Also looking for their first victory, the Pandas return to Edmonton for their home opener after being swept by the University of Victoria Vikes.
Last season's battle for the final Canada West playoff berth went down to the wire between these two teams, with the Pandas edging out the Dinos by a single point.
The Dinos and Pandas resume their rivalry Saturday and Sunday at Foote Field at 1 p.m.
