| By:
REGINA - Lisa Urban turned aside all 21 shots she faced to help the University of Regina's women's hockey team record a 1-0 win over the Calgary Dinos on Friday night at the Sherwood Ice Sports Centre.

Kelcie McCutcheon scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season with less than one second remaining in the first period. The goal, scored on the power play with help from Gina Campbell and Kelsie Graham, stood up as the lone tally of the contest.

Katie Urness made 33 saves for Calgary on Friday night as the Cougars outshot the Dinos by a 34-21 margin during the contest. Gina Campbell led the Cougars with seven shots, while Rianne Wight fired six at Urness.

Both teams had seven power play opportunities during the game. Calgary was scoreless on their seven man advantages, while the Cougars were 1-for-7 on the power play.

The win improves Regina's record to 2-4-3 on the season, as the Cougars pull into a three-way tie with Lethbridge (3-5-1) and UBC (3-6-1) for fourth place in the Canada West standings. Calgary's record falls to 1-8-0 with the loss.

The two teams will meet again at 7 p.m. on Saturday night at the Sherwood Ice Sports Centre.
