Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson was a force to be reckoned when he led the University of Calgary Dinos to two much needed wins at Jack Simpson Gymnasium, Nov. 22-23.
On Friday, the point guard out of Winnipeg scored a game high 32 points in Calgary’s win over the Thompson Rivers WolfPack. In his 38 minutes played, Ogungbemi-Jackson also recorded a double-double when he grabbed ten rebounds for the Dinos. He added four steals and two assists.
The following night, the Dinos hosted and defeated the UBC Okanagan Heat. The Arts student once again led all scorers in the game, this time with 24 points to add to his season total. He hit three of four three-pointers and picked up four rebounds and four assists.
After his performance this weekend, Ogungbemi-Jackson has moved to the number one spot in the conference in scoring, averaging 21.6 points per game. The Dinos will host the Brandon Bobcats, Nov 28-29 in their final games before the Christmas break.
