Second-year goaltender Jennifer Mallard earned her first career shutout on the weekend, then gave up just one goal the following night as the Dinos earned a weekend sweep of the UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver to move into sole possession of second place in Canada West.

Friday night, Mallard stopped all 13 shots she faced to earn her first career shutout in a 7-0 Dinos win. A night later, she allowed one goal on 15 shots as Calgary won 4-1. She finished the weekend with a 0.50 goals-against average and a .964 save percentage.

Mallard and the Dinos head to Regina this weekend to face the Cougars before a first-place showdown with the Saskatchewan Huskies Feb. 3-4 at WinSport's Athletic and Ice Complex at Canada Olympic Park.
