The Calgary Dinos hosted the Vancouver Island University Mariners in a highly entertaining home series on the weekend. The two teams split the four game series and with the split the Dinos remain at .500 on the 2025 CCBC season.
Game 1 Summary Dinos 9 vs Mariners 4
Starting pitcher
Ethan Webster collected his second win of the season as he went seven strong innings, giving up five hits and two earned runs. Webster was in control most of the game as he had thirteen strike-outs and only one walk in the outing. Relief pitchers

Braeden Johns pitched an inning each in relief to secure the game for the Dinos.
Offensively
Brett Potter had a pinch hit homerun in the seventh inning as he plated three of the Dinos five runs in the inning. It was Potter's first home run of the season. Dinos used the big inning in the game as they also scored four runs in the first inning. Designated hitter

Ryan Kennedy had a multiple hit game as he went two for three on the day with a run scored and an RBI.
Game 2 Summary Dinos 7 vs Mariners 10
Calgary's spring weather was on full display in the second game of the Saturday double header as the snow started to fall during the game and the wind started to blow out.
Dinos let the game slip away as they give up a 6 - 1 lead heading into the 8th inning. Dinos give up five runs in the ninth and lose the game in extra innings as the Mariners score three in the tenth to take the game 10 - 7.

Jaydon Wielders goes five innings giving up one earned run on two hits as he records eleven strikeouts. Dinos go through five relievers the rest of the game.

First game on Sunday turns into a classic with a starting pitcher duel through six innings in a 1 - 1 game gets broken out by the Dinos as they score three runs in the seventh. Again it is
Brett Potter with the key hit in the inning as his single scores two runs. Mariners come back in the late innings as they score three to tie the game up. Heading into the bottom of the ninth the Dinos score one on a walkoff single by

Riley Burns went 7.1 innings giving up two earned runs with five hits. Burns had eight strikeouts and one walk in his outing as he misses out on the win. Relief pitcher

Game 4 Summary Dinos 10 vs Mariners 13
Starting pitcher
Brady Fehlauer has a rough outing as the Mariners score six in the top of the fourth to go up 9 - 1. Dinos attempt the comeback, but the Mariners collect another four runs in the eighth inning. Dinos make it entertaining for the remaining home crowd as they score five in the bottom of the ninth. Twenty five Dinos players hit the field in the game with nineteen players getting plate appearances and six pitchers taking the mound. Catcher

Ben Foreman each pitched 1.2 innings of shutout ball. The game featured nine errors with the Dinos committing five.
Dinos will host the league leading University of Fraser Valley on the Easter weekend as they play double headers on Saturday and Sunday. The Dinos are currently three games behind the Cascades in the standings and this weekend will be a big test for the Dinos. Cascades come into the series on a two game win streak as they split this weekend with Okanagan College.
