CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos men's and women's golf teams both claimed wins to conclude their home tournament Monday afternoon from the McKenzie Meadows Golf Course.
Calgary's women's squad finished 17 strokes ahead of the next closest team, while the Dinos men wrapped up the two-day tournament -17 as a team – 16 strokes ahead of second place.
Georgia Mackenzie finished as the runner-up women's golf on the weekend to lead three Dinos that finished in the top five.
Aubrie Shapkin came in third overall on the weekend, while
Norah Andronyk claimed fifth place to highlight a dominant performance by the home team.
Meanwhile,
Adam Reed opened the tournament with a day-one lead at -6 before shooting -4 on Monday to finish runner-up by just one stroke.
Cian Besler-Chalcroft finished the tournament -5 to tie for fourth place, while another five Dinos men's golfers closed things out right near the top of the leaderboard.
Calgary is now off until heading to Kelowna, B.C. for the 2024 Canada West Championships Oct. 7-8.
