CALGARY – The Calgary Dinos men's and women's curling teams are set to host the 2025 Canada West Curling Championships, the conference office announced Friday with the announcement of six league championships.
The Dinos curling teams will welcome the rest of the league to town from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, hosting this year's championships at the Calgary Curling Club. The U SPORTS Curling Championship won't be far away either, hosted by Lethbridge Feb. 24-28.
On the road, the Dinos first championship opportunity of the year comes Oct. 7-8 as UBC Okanagan hosts this year's golf tournament in Kelowna, B.C.
The conference's top distance runners will converge in Edmonton later in the month, with the 2024 CW Cross Country championships hosted by the University of Alberta on Oct. 26. That event will be followed by UBCO hosting the nation's best in Kelowna at the 2024 U SPORTS Cross Country Championships on Nov. 9.
Heading into the pool, the UBC Thunderbirds are on tap to host the 2024 CW Swimming Championships in Vancouver from Nov. 22 to 24.
The province of Saskatchewan will host a pair of marquee conference events in February, with the University of Saskatchewan welcoming the 2025 CW Wrestling Championships on Feb. 15 in Saskatoon, and the University of Regina hosting the 2025 CW Track & Field Championships from Feb. 21 to 22.
