University of Calgary Dinos Baseball continued their weekend series with the Victoria Collegiate Golden Tide on Sunday. Having split the double header on Saturday, both teams were looking to come out ahead in the weekend series and gain momentum in the final weeks of the CCBC 2024 season as the playoffs loom. It was the Dinos who came out on top in both games Sunday as they used the big inning to secure victories by scores of 12 - 1 and 12 - 3. With the victories the Dinos won their first series this season as they moved their record to 10 and 14 on the season as they improved to 5 and 5 in their last ten games, moving to 6.5 games behind league leaders - University of Fraser Valley.

Game 1 Summary
In a 1 - 1 game, Dinos explode for 10 runs in the bottom of the third inning, and add another run in the fourth as they take the game in seven innings by a final score of 12 - 1. Offensively the Dinos score ten runs in an inning, their highest total for the season, as they hit through the rotation sending fifteen to the plate during the inning, scoring five runs with two outs. Dinos score 12 runs on 17 hits as fifteen Dinos see the field during the game, ten Dinos record hits. Starting pitcher Ethan Webster goes five innings as he picks up his second win of the season. Liam McAusland and Ethan Swift each pitch one inning of shutout ball in relief.

Game 2 Summary
Trailing by a score of 2 - 0, the Dinos again use the big inning to turn the game around as they score seven runs in the sixth inning, adding two in the seventh and three in the eigth as they take the second game of the double header by a score of 12 - 3. Dinos score twelve runs on thirteen hits, with a triple (Szautner) and two doubles (Sewell, Potter). With the victory Dinos take 3 out of four with the Golden Tide as they win their first series in 2024. Starting pitcher Dylan Soch picks up his second win of the season as he goes six innings, Alex Lanigan pitches two innings in relief.
