VANCOUVER – The UBC Thunderbirds and Victoria Vikes went a perfect 3-0 on the first day of the second stop of the Women's Canada West 7s series at Thunderbirds Stadium in Vancouver Friday. The two BC rivals lead the six-team field, moving onto Saturday's final two matches as the top two sides.

Trintiy Western Spartans and Lethbridge Pronghorns have one win apeice from their three games. TWU beat Lethbridge 15-10 for their victory while the Pronghorns got their win in their first match of the day, overcoming Alberta Pandas 19-7.

Calgary and Alberta played out an entertaining 10-10 draw in the inter-provincial battle to get their only points of the day on the board.

Saturday will feature the final two rounds of action to wrap up the round robin-style tournament. The action begins at 9.45 a.m. at Thunderbird Stadium.
