The University of Calgary Dinos baseball team kicked off the 2023 CCBC season on Friday March 24 against the TRU Wolfpack. After a shortened pre-season competition schedule, due to inclement weather, and Calgary weather that has restricted outdoor training, the Dinos were eager to get on the field against league competition. Dinos are looking to build on their league success from last year where they achieved a team record on points and wins.
Dinos lost the first game of a four game weekend by a score of 4 - 6. Dinos starter Ethan Webster went 5 and 2/3 innings giving up four earned runs with five hits and two strikeouts.. Relief pitcher Liam McAusland took the loss.
