Unbeaten streak on the line this weekend against MacEwan

| By:
CALGARY – In this weekend's regular-season finale, the University of Calgary men's soccer team will face off against the MacEwan University Griffins in two games, Oct. 23-24, at Dinosaur Field.

STILL UNBEATEN
Sitting at 4-0-4 entering the weekend, the Dinos have set a new program record for starting a season without a loss. Calgary is the lone undefeated team remaining in Canada West entering the final weekend of the regular season and is one of just three unbeaten teams in all of U SPORTS (Guelph: 4-0-2; Carlton: 5-0-1).

BATTLE OF ALBERTA
Not only did the Dinos extend their unbeaten streak to eight last weekend, but they did so against their provincial rival Alberta. First-year Dino Koen Schoffner's goal on Saturday up at Foote Field proved to be the difference in the Dinos 1-0 win before battling to a draw with the Golden Bears on Sunday. The four points were significant, as Calgary and Alberta had entered the weekend tied in the standings.

DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE
The Dinos defence has been awfully impressive this season. 'Keeper Jake Ruschkowski not only ranks second in Canada West with just six goals against all season but his save percentage of .872 ranks third in all of U SPORTS.

CANADA WEST STANDINGS
Looking at the conference and division standings going into the final weekend, it's a tight race at the top but the Dinos do control their own future. Calgary currently sits in second place with 16 points – just two behind Mount Royal, who has one less game remaining. The top two seeds will host a playoff game next weekend, with seeds three and four travelling for the quarterfinals.
