CALGARY – After back-to-back .500 weekends on the road, the University of Calgary Dinos (4-3-0) will be back at the friendly confides of Dinosaur Field where they will host the UBC-Okanagan Heat and the Victoria Vikes.
Both games will kick off at 2:15 p.m. on Dinosaur Field, with the Dinos hosting the Heat on Saturday and the Vikes on Sunday.
SAVE LEADER
One of the mains reasons that the Dinos find themselves in 2nd place in the Prairie Division is the play of third-year goalkeeper
Jake Ruschkowski. Rusckowski leads Canada West in saves with 45, including an incredible 15 in one game during the Dinos 1-0 defeat last weekend at the of Trinity Western.
GAME-WINNER EXTRAORDINAIRE
Third-year
Dominik Zuczek is well on his way to the most successful season as a Dino, with 4 goals in just 6 games. More incredibly, three of those four have ended up being game-winning goals, which leads Canada West.
FRESHMAN MOMENTUM
After taking time to adjust to the U SPORTS level, first-year
Eryk Kobza broke through in a major way last weekend during the Dinos win over Fraser Valley. Kobza scored twice, opening the scoring just 20 seconds into the game, and will look to continue his strong play for the rest of the season.
MEASURING STICK
The Dinos will have their work cut out for them this weekend as they take on two teams who both have winning records, including the first-place Heat who have only lost one game this season.
