EDMONTON – Kelsey Roberts stopped 31 of the 33 shots she faced, as the University of Calgary Dinos picked up a 3-2 road win over the Alberta Pandas, Friday night at Clare Drake Arena.

Rebecca Clarke and
Delaney Frey scored for the Dinos, who improved to 5-4-0 win the win over the Pandas. Alberta, meanwhile, drops into sixth in Canada West with a matching 5-4-0 record, having lost two of their last three games.
Kennedy Ganser and Danielle Hardy scored for the Pandas in the loss, while Kirsten Chamberlin stopped 15 of the 18 shots she faced, suffering her third loss of the season.
Calgary never trailed on Friday night, holding a two-goal lead twice, despite being heavily outshot by the Pandas. Roberts, however, was sensational, earning her fifth win of the season.
Craven opened the scoring late in the opening period, beating Chamberlin for her third goal of the season.
Clarke doubled the Dinos lead early in the second, taking a feed from
Trechelle Bunn down low, beating Chamberlin over her shoulder with a great shot from in tight.
Ganser finally broke through for the Pandas, beating a scrambling Roberts from in tight for her fifth goal of the season. The Pandas continued to pressure Calgary, firing 14 shots on goal in the second, but couldn't beat Roberts for the equalizing goal.
Frey restored the two-goal Calgary early in the third, beating Chamberlin from the slot.
Hardy cut back into the Calgary lead midway through the third, beating Roberts five-hole on the powerplay. That marker was as close as the Pandas would get, however, as Roberts made another 10 saves in the third, including five in the final two minutes, to seal the Dinos win.
The two rivals will finish off their series tomorrow, with puck drop scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in Calgary.
