CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos will head out east to Winnipeg this weekend to try and keep their early success rolling against the University of Manitoba Bisons.
The two game set is scheduled to get started on Friday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. followed by an afternoon affair on Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. Wayne Fleming Arena will play host to both games during the weekend.
STAYING PERFECT
The Dinos continued their hot start to the season last weekend against the UBC Thunderbirds, putting together an impressive 4-1 victory on Friday. Calgary also faced their first test of adversity on Saturday evening, going down 4-1 before eventually storming back and taking the game 5-4 in double overtime
SCORING TOUCH
One of the key reasons the Dinos have had such a hot start is due to their lethal offence.
Matt Alfaro currently leads all Canada West scorers with five goals and four assists with
Graham Black right behind him, registering eight points so far. Dinos players currently occupy four spots in the top 10 Canada West point leaders
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
Newcomers
Jordan Xavier and
Kaden Elder have had no problem fitting in with their new squad. Elder currently has two goals and two assists on the season while Xavier has potted two goals including the double overtime winner against UBC.
