Timberwolves in for two

| By:
CALGARY – After yet another successful weekend for the University of Calgary Dinos, which saw them take down the top-ranked team in U SPORTS, the squad gears up for its final homestand of the Canada West regular season.

The action kicks off against the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves (3-3-4) on Saturday, with the game set for 12 p.m. The rematch between the two teams comes a day later, also set for a noon kickoff. Dinosaur Field will play host to both of the games during the weekend.

STAYING DOMINANT
The Dinos were yet again perfect on the weekend, picking up two wins and outscoring their opponents 5-1 during the two-game series. Their lengthy regular season unbeaten streak now extends to 23 games, with the Dinos holding a 21-0-2 record over that time.

TOP OF THE TABLE
After the dramatic win against the top-ranked U SPORTS team in Trinity Western, the Dinos leap over the Spartans to not only take over the top spot in the tight Pacific Division race but now command the best record in all of Canada West. The Dinos' surge to the top comes at a good time with home field advantage up for grabs in the Canada West playoffs just around the corner.

NOTHING GETS THROUGH
The Calgary defence has been nothing short of spectacular during the season, allowing a miniscule total of four goals thus far. A large part of the brick wall defence has come from goalkeeper Lauren Houghton, who posts a Canada West second best 0.40 GAA while playing in all 900 minutes of Calgary's matchups.
