Rugby set for West Coast swing

CALGARY – Coming off a last-second win over Alberta on Sunday, the University of Calgary Dinos women's rugby team will look to continue its their 16 consecutive regular season win streak on the road against the Victoria Vikes on Friday and the UBC Thunderbirds on Sunday.

The Vikes game begins at 6 p.m. MT in Victoria, followed by the Thunderbirds game at 2 p.m. MT on Sunday. Friday night's opener will be the annual Jenny Vincent Memorial Game, honouring the late coach of both programs who passed away in early 2010. Vincent led the Dinos into their first season of Canada West and U SPORTS competition in 2009, and the program is celebrating its 10th season of varsity competition this year.

NEW YEAR, SAME DINOS
The two-time defending Canada West champion Dinos continued their impressive regular season by winning their 16th consecutive game last Sunday at the home opener against the Pandas – but it wasn't easy.

GAME HIGHLIGHT
Kicker Isla Shill scored the penalty goal in the final moments of the game concluding a tight 25-24 win for the Dinos.

QUOTABLE
