CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos women's basketball team returns to the court this weekend after a first-round bye as they host the Victoria Vikes in a best-of-three Canada West Quarter-Final at the Jack Simpson Gym.

HEADLINES:
- The last time these two teams met in the playoffs was back in 2015 where the Vikes swept Calgary in a first-round matchup held on Vancouver Island.
- Victoria dominated their Canada West Play-In game against the Fraser Valley Cascades, winning 91-62 to advance to this weekend's matchup.
- This is the first time since 2013 that a women's basketball playoff game has been played in the Jack Simpson Gym.
No. 10 CALGARY DINOS (15-5)
- Calgary enters the playoffs on an impressive seven-game win streak, having not lost a game since Jan. 12.
- The Dinos defence has been stellar throughout the regular season, leading the conference in points allowed, steals per game, and total rebounds.
- Shannon Hatch has been a threat from three-point range, making 39.1 percent of her attempts, good enough for third in Canada West.
VICTORIA VIKES (16-4)
- With the win in the Play-In game, the Vikes have strung together a Canada West high 13 consecutive wins.
- Victoria has been a scoring machine throughout the regular season totalling 1523 points, putting them third in Canada West.
- Senior guard Amira Giannattasio has made a large contribution to the highly feared Vikes offence, averaging 17.9 points per game.
