CALGARY - After earning a split from this past weekend, the University of Calgary Dinos will close off their regular season on the road in rematches against the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
The Dinos will be in Lethbridge on Thursday, Oct. 18 to face the Pronghorns at 6 p.m., then will head over to Saskatchewan to play against the Huskies on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.
OPENING WEEKEND SPLIT
During their season debut weekend back in August, the Dinos hosted the Pronghorns and the Huskies and were defeated by the Huskies 4-2, but won against the Pronghorns 3-0.
PLAYOFF PUSH
It all comes down to the final weekend of the regular season to determine playoff positioning and home field advantage with the Dinos, Saskatchewan, and Mount Royal all locked in a battle for second place and the home playoff game that comes along with it.
Calgary has clinched at least a playoff spot, and the Dinos hold their own destiny: at 5-6-1, a win and a tie this weekend, or better, would clinch home field as well. A win in Lethbridge Thursday would set up a showdown with the Huskies Sunday in Saskatoon for that home date.
