CALGARY – Following a short break over the Thanksgiving Weekend, the University of Calgary Dinos will return to the field in rematches against the MacEwan University Griffins and the University of Alberta Golden Bears on the West Varsity Soccer Pitch.
Both games begin at 2:15 p.m., with the Griffins in town on Saturday and the Bears on Sunday.
THE FIRST TIME
The Dinos played their first away-games against the Griffins and Bears earlier this season in Edmonton, with both games resulting in 1-0 losses.
CANADA WEST PLAYOFFS
The Dinos and Griffins are looking to clinch a Canada West quarterfinal playoff spot as both teams are currently two of the top four contenders in the Prairie Division. These matchups will determine if the Dinos will hold onto their ranking as second in the division in addition to securing a playoff spot. The Dinos will be heading into the matches with a record of 4-5-1 after a win and a draw against Mount Royal in their last action two weeks ago.

WHO TO WATCH

Jake Ruschkowski will be tough as nails for the Griffins and Bears to crack as he put up a stellar performances during their last contests. Ruschkowski denied both teams until the 87 and 88th minutes in both games allowing only two goals to slip past him out of a total of 15 shots on goal that weekend.
