The Dinos are set to take on their Crowchild Classic foes Mount Royal University Cougars in this regular season final weekend set, beginning Thursday night with the Pack the Jack event.
While the Cougars will miss the postseason, they have the opportunity to play spoiler for the Dinos, as Calgary needs a sweep this weekend, along with some out-of-town help, to grab the fourth seed in the playoffs and the first-round bye that goes with it.

HEADLINES
- A special Crowchild Classic edition of the annual Pack The Jack game will take place on Thursday night at the Jack Simpson Gym.
- The Dinos have taken the past eight matchups between the Calgary rivals, which dates back to the 2013-14 season.
- The two games this weekend will be the final of the Canada West season for both teams, with playoffs beginning Feb. 10.
CALGARY DINOS (13-5)
- The Dinos are riding a five-game win streak coming into the final weekend, taking down Lethbridge and Trinity Western along the way.
- Senior guard Shannon Hatch has been a threat from three-point territory, shooting 37.9 percent, putting her sixth in Canada West.
- Calgary has made possession for their opponents something to be careful of as they are averaging 12 steals per game.
- The Dinos will host a playoff round, but which round that will be is yet to be determined. If Calgary sits fifth when the final RPI seedings are calculated, they'll host a single-game 'play-in' round contest next Friday night. Should they finish fourth, however, they'll get a bye through the first week and host a quarter-final series Feb. 16-18.
MOUNT ROYAL COUGARS (1-17)
- The Mount Royal Cougars are a force around the hoop on the defensive end, placing in the top three in both defensive rebounds, and blocks per games.
- Becky Nash has been the backbone of the Cougar defense blocking 31 shots and picking up 104 defensive rebounds.
- The second-semester addition of Spanish guard Gala Mestres has enhanced the fortunes of the Cougars. Mestres is far and away the team's leading scorer, averaging better than 14 points per game, and put up 42 in a pair of tight contests on the road last week at Regina.
