CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos women's basketball team have come out strong for the second half of the Canada West season, achieving a 5-2 record post Christmas break. Next on the schedule are the Lethbridge Pronghorns for a home and home series starting Thursday.

Calgary swept last weekends home stand with ease against the struggling UBC Okanagan Heat improving to 11-5 on the season.

HEADLINES
•    The Dinos are officially heading to the Canada West Playoffs after clinching a spot last weekend.
•    Lethbridge will look to snap a four game losing streak after getting swept by Manitoba and UBC respectively.
•    The Dinos won both games against Lethbridge last year. They also carry a 15 game win streak overall against the Pronghorns.

CALGARY DINOS (11-5)
•    The Dinos take a three game win streak into the matchup, beating Trinity Western and UBC Okanagan prior.
•    Calgary have been giving themselves second chance opportunities off the rebounds better than anyone in Canada West, averaging 15.9 per game. 
•    Senior guard Brianna Ghali has been paved the way for the Dinos this season, leading the team in scoring, posting a 15.2 points per game average.

LETHBRIDGE PRONGHORNS (10-6)
•    Danielle Fritzke will be a danger from the three-point line as she sits third in three point percentage, dropping 40.8 percent of her shots.
•    The Pronghorns as a team average 10 steals per game which has earned them third in the Canada West rankings.
