CALGARY – Despite dominating possession and owning virtually all of the scoring opportunities, the University of Calgary Dinos couldn't convert and settled for a scoreless draw with the Mount Royal Cougars Thursday night at MRU.

The Dinos outshot the Cougars 8-1. Meaghan Prudhomme made eight saves while Samantha Chang-Foidl needed to make just one on the night for Calgary.
 
The Dinos took it to the Cougars early and often in the first half. In the first ten minutes they had three quality scoring chances but none of their attempts got to goal.
 
Several minutes later off a corner, the Dinos had their best scoring chance of the game. The Dinos forward flicked the ball toward goal and Meaghan Prudhomme had to dive and punch the ball in the air. Luckily for the Cougars the ball fell straight down back into Prudhomme's arms.
 
Brianna Keil made a good run all the way from the back end and crossed the ball into the box. Dinos' keeper Samantha Chang-Foidl bobbled the cross, nearly leading to the first goal of the match.
 
In the second half the Dinos continued to outshoot the Cougars but Meghan Prudhomme was a wall in the Cougars' crease.
 
Brianna Keil of Mount Royal picked up the game's only card in the 69th minute in what was a fairly clean match for both sides.
 
Calgary improves their record to 7-3-3 on the season. Mount Royal goes to 2-8-3 and have all but solidified their first ever Canada West playoff berth.
 
The Dinos will travel up to Edmonton to play MacEwan on Saturday afternoon at noon.
