Playing the entire game for Calgary, Jacob DeSerres made 28 saves. Kris Moore was given the start for the Cougars and turned away 10 shots, before being replaced by Dusty Nickel half way through the game. Nickel had 18 stops.

Mount Royal outshot Calgary 32-30.

The Dinos will host the Calgary Flames Prospects at the Father David Bauer Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 17. The game offers an opportunity for students to get an early look at the 2014-15 Dinos squad, as well as a chance to see some of the Flames' top young talent. The puck will drop at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be available starting Friday morning at www.godinos.com/tickets.

The Dinos begin the 2014-15 regular season at home when they welcome the Manitoba Bisons to Father David Bauer Arena; for a two-game set on Sept. 26-27.
