Dinos defeated by Wesmen at West Varsity Pitch

| By:
BOX SCORE CALGARY - Adam Bromley's two goals were the deciding factor on Saturday afternoon as the University of Calgary Dinos fell to the University of Winnipeg Wesmen on Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-2.

The Wesmen were the first to get on the board after a fairly evenly matched pace on both ends of the field. In his fourth shot of the game, Bromley shot a ball about 20 yards out on the left side of the 18-yard box to catch Calgary goalkeeper Jordan Unreiner out of position. His shot soared through to the top left corner of the goal to give Winnipeg the lead.

Before the half expired, the Dinos got even. Defender Dominick Zator fed a ball to Izak Lawence in the box and Lawrence crossed it through. Winnipeg goalkeeper Tyson Farago had no chance as Michael McKinnon tapped the ball in for the tying goal in the 44th minute.

Early into the second half of the game, the Dinos struck again. A throw in from Zator made it's way to Lawrence's head and he scored the go ahead goal for Calgary in the 47th minute.

Later in the half, both goalkeepers were tested with both Unreiner and substitute Joshua Partaker making big saves for both of their teams.

It took until the 81st minute for the Wesmen to tie the game up. A rebound from Unreiner bounced out to Bromley who was in perfect position to score his second goal of the game.

With both teams fighting for the game winning goal, it was Winnipeg who ultimately got it. With just five minutes left in regulation time, a Calgary defender was called for a handball in the box, resulting in a penalty kick for the Wesmen. Kenny Sacramento made no mistake choosing the bottom left corner to score the game winner.

The Wesmen improve to 2-4-1 while Calgary falls to a 3-4 record. Both teams will go at it again at West Varsity Pitch on Sunday with a kick-off time set for 2:15 p.m.
