Wesmen in town for two-game set

| By:
CALGARY - The University of Calgary Dinos men's soccer team returns home to host the Winnipeg Wesmen in a doubleheader, Sept. 28-29.

The Dinos come off a split from last weekend's matches against the Saskatchewan Huskies on the road.  On Saturday, the Dinos and the Huskies went scoreless through over 70 minutes before the only goal of the game was scored. It came from Jordian Farahani to lift Saskatchewan over Calgary in the first game of the doubleheader.

On Sunday, the Dinos got revenge. Scoring in the 8th minute of the match, Jaron Broom's goal was the only one needed to earn the win. The Dinos now sit with a .500 record at 3-3 and hold third place in the Prairie Division.

The Winnipeg Wesmen have a bit of a different story to tell. They captured their only win of the season thus far against the Fraser Valley Cascades on September 12, and currently have a 1-4-1 record. In the Prairie Division they are currently in fifth place.

Last weekend, the Wesmen traveled west to take on the Victoria Vikes as well as the UNBC Timberwolves. In Victoria, Winnipeg lost the match 4-2 and in Prince George, fell 1-0.

Game time for both games is set for a 2:15 p.m. kickoff on West Varsity Pitch.

The following week, the Dinos will take on the Mount Royal Cougars in a Crowchild Classic doubleheader on the Mount Royal campus.
