WINNIPEG -
The No. 1 University of Calgary Dinos picked up a 4-1 win over the Mantioba Bisons Saturday night in Winnipeg, sweeping the weekend series and regaining first place in the Canada West standings.

The Dinos (7-0-1) will put that on the line again next week when the Alberta Pandas visit for a two-game set at Father David Bauer Arena.

For Calgary, the third goal of the weekend for forward and national team member Hayley Wickenheiser would be the go-ahead score midway through the second period. In the third, the Dinos added goals from Jenna Smith, Iya Gavrilova, and Stephanie Ramsay to make it four for the night.

Meanwhile, the Bisons were again stifled on offense through most of the game, though a Megan Vestby goal got them on the board with under four minutes to play.

The real story for Manitoba was goaltender Dée-Ana Marion, who replaced regular starter Leiette Klassen on Saturday night after Klassen gave up five goals on Friday. Marion played admirably, allowing just one goal in the first two periods despite being peppered with shots all night. When the final horn blew, she had a remarkable 25 saves to her name.

While still finding difficulty keeping the puck in the Calgary zone, the Bisons started Saturday's game more solid defensively. By forcing the Dinos to move the puck from side to side and keeping a body, sometimes two, on Wickenheiser at all times, they were able to keep an explosive Calgary offense in check and scoreless through the first.

That continued to the second, when a head check double minor penalty was killed off by the Bisons as they continued to keep Calgary to the outside corners of the Manitoba zone. However, shortly after on even strength, Wickenheiser finally found some open ice to work with, walking to the centre unassisted and wristing it past Marion glove-side to break through and put Calgary up 1-0.

In the third, the flood gates opened up for Calgary's goal scorers. In four minutes, they got goals from Ramsay and Smith to break the game open. Despite a score with seven minutes left from Vestby, who hacked away on a rebound in front of Dinos goalie Amanda Tapp, the Bisons were unable to build momentum and come back in the final minutes.

Calgary returns home to play Alberta on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m.
