The win improves the Dinos record to 2-1, while visiting Pronghorns have yet to win a game and there record will drop to 0-3.

“Points are what matter in this league,” commented head coach Brian McDonnell. “We went out and got the job done today. I was looking for more of a complete performance, but I think we capitalized on some mistakes they made and at the end of the day that's what counts.”

The Dinos showed strength in the first half of the contest with two goals scored by the home team. The five shots on goal by the Dinos in the first half of action kept fifth-year Pronghorns keeper Colin Pattison busy. Dinos goals came within four minutes of each other at the 33rd and 37th minutes, the first scored by first year defenseman Yoann Promonet, with Izak Lawrence assisting. The second goal was started with a great pass from Lawrence that allowed Jeremy Jenkyns to get the ball past Pattison.

The second half of the contest was fierce battle between the two clubs and both teams struggled to get shots on goal, with the Pronghorns outshooting the Dinos 2-1. The lone Pronghorn goal came in the 59th minute by Justin Mann, with Lucas Rajcic and Matt Medoruma drawing the assists. The visiting Pronghorns tried desperately to answer back late in the match, but could not get their much-needed tying goal.
