BOX SCORE

In the opening seconds of the extra frame, Taylor Stefishen's original attempt was turned aside, but on the rebound Jorgensen backhanded the puck past Ryan Holfeld for the victory. The win improves Calgary's record to 9-5-0, while Saskatchewan drops to 7-2-2.

A great individual effort put the Dinos in front at the 4:20 mark of the first period. Stefishen broke into the zone from the left side where he deked through the Saskatchewan defence and tucked the puck past Holfeld. The goal was Stefishen's seventh of the season.

The Huskies responded at 14:46 during four-on-four play. While his team controlled the play in the Calgary end, Brett Ward let a quick shot go from the point and had the puck tipped in by team captain Kyle Ross. It was Ross' sixth of the year and tied the game after one period.

Five minutes into the second period the Huskies had a chance to take the lead. Travis Brisbois hammered a one-timer on net, but was turned aside by the sprawling pad of Dustin Butler. The Calgary netminder had a huge period in between the pipes as he made a number of key saves for his club.

The final two minutes of the middle stanza proved to be action-packed as three goals were scored in 1:17. Brock Nixon started it off while on the man advantage as his shot from the short side got past the five-hole of Holfeld at 18:01. The goal was Nixon's fifth of the season with assists going to Stefishen and Jorgensen.

Just 38 seconds later the Huskies evened the score. After Derek Hulak's shot from the slot was stopped by Butler, Kyle Bortis was in the right place at the right time to stuff home the rebound. The marker gave Bortis his sixth of the year.

Calgary went back on the power play with just over a minute left in the second period as Zak Stebner was went to the sin bin for a slash on Dylan Hood. With the power play clicking, Nixon fed a cross-crease pass to Joel Eisenkirch. The fifth-year defenceman fired a shot, eluding Holfeld for his second goal on the season. The tally put the Dinos up 3-2 going into the second intermission.

With less than three minutes to play in regulation the Huskies tied the game. After being denied early in the frame on a breakaway, Andrew Bailey notched his fifth goal of the campaign as to send the game to overtime.

In their first overtime game of the season, Calgary answered the call on their first shot of the extra session as Jorgensen sealed the deal.

The Huskies outshot the Dinos 25-16. Calgary went 2-for-6 on the man advantage, while Saskatchewan was 0-for-6.

Next weekend the Dinos travel to Winnipeg where they will take on the Manitoba Bisons for two games on Nov. 25-26. The Huskies return to action on Nov. 25-26 as they host the UBC Thunderbirds.
