REGINA -
Tessa Miller's penalty kick goal in the 12th minute gave the Calgary Dinos all the offence they'd need in a 1-0 win over the Regina Cougars on Saturday afternoon in a Canada West women's soccer match at the U of R Field.
BOX SCORE
Kristen Barton made two saves to secure the shutout for the Dinos, who improve to 4-4-1 on the season with the victory. The shutout was the third consecutive clean sheet for Barton, who hasn't allowed a goal since Regina's Tegan Koroluk scored against her back on Sept. 26.
Michelle Anderson made five saves in net for the Cougars. Regina's Molly Glass had an opportunity in injury time in the second half, but couldn't beat Barton as the team's record falls to 2-5-2 on the season.
Calgary will travel to Winnipeg for a game against Manitoba Sunday, while the Cougars will host Lethbridge at the U of R Field beginning at noon.
