CALGARY - The host University of Calgary Dinos finished with a perfect 3-0 record to claim the 2008 Hopewell Holiday Hoops tournament Tuesday afternoon in the Jack Simpson Gym. In the battle of 2-0 teams, the Dinos upended the Ryerson Rams 87-73 to capture the tournament title.

The Rams presented the biggest challenge of the tournament to the Dinos, who had little trouble dispatching Fraser Valley 89-56 and Brock 82-51 on the first two days of the tournament.

Ryerson finished second at 2-1 after wins over both Fraser Valley and Brock as well, while the Badgers defeated the UFV Cascades 76-65 in the early game Tuesday to take the bronze.

Conference play for the Dinos re-opens Friday night when the Alberta Pandas pay a visit to the Jack for a two-game series, with tip-off at 6 p.m. Jan. 2 and 3.
