Fifth-year defensive end Andrew Obrecht anchored a solid effort by the Calgary defensive line Friday night, limiting the Regina Rams to just 88 yards along the ground in the Dinos’ 41-15 win on the road.

Obrecht finished second on the team in tackles with 6.5 (including five solos), had Calgary’s lone sack on the night, and added 1.5 tackles for loss to lead all players. His 6.5 tackles more than doubled his season total.

The Business student out of Western Canada High School also acts as the team’s long snapper and attended the Montreal Alouettes’ training camp in that position this spring.

The Dinos (2-1) host Simon Fraser (2-1) in a rematch of the 2008 Hardy Cup Saturday afternoon at McMahon Stadium.
