Fifth year left side Lauren Perry led the Dinos women’s volleyball program statistically over the weekend, but her leadership and strong defensive play, which do not show up in the statistics, vaulted Calgary to a two-match sweep of the fifth-ranked Manitoba Bisons.

Her stats speak for themselves – in two five-set matches, Perry posted 40 kills and in impressive .329 attack percentage. She added 25 digs on the weekend, seven blocks, and two service aces as the No. 3 Dinos jumped to third place in the conference standings at 5-1. The Dinos head north for a battle with the Alberta Pandas this weekend. Calgary sits six points behind the Pandas and will therefore be unable to catch their provincial rivals this weekend, but the Dinos do have two games in hand on the Pandas.
