Ross Bekkering was back to his usual tricks over the weekend, helping the Dinos earn a two-game sweep of their southern Alberta rivals, the Lethbridge Pronghorns. The sweep moved Calgary to 8-1 on the season and a four-game lead atop the Central Division standings.

Bekkering poured in 31 points on 12-of-17 shooting over the weekend – a spectacular .706 field goal percentage – and was again dominant on the glass in hauling down 22 rebounds. The fourth year business student added two blocked shots, three steals and three assists for good measure as the Dinos overcame poor shooting in Friday’s game to take a 34-point win on Saturday.

Bekkering leads Canada West in shooting percentage at .646 and sits second in the conference rebounding race.
